Your body may be holding onto too much oestrogen
- let’s bring it back into balance.

Oestrogen Imbalance: What It Means

Oestrogen is a beautiful, powerful hormone - it gives us curves, keeps our skin glowing, supports mood, and plays a key role in our menstrual cycle. But when there’s too much of it (especially in relation to progesterone), things can fall out of balance.

This is often called “oestrogen dominance”, and it’s more common than you might think - especially when we’re under stress, exposed to hormone-disrupting chemicals (like plastics and synthetic fragrances), or have sluggish detox pathways (like a slow liver or constipation).

Common Signs of Oestrogen Imbalance

  • Bloating or puffiness (especially before your period)

  • Heavy, painful, or clotty periods

  • Tender or swollen breasts

  • Mood swings, irritability, or rage before your bleed

  • Fatigue or brain fog

  • Trouble sleeping before menstruation

  • Anxiety or feeling emotionally “on edge”

  • Weight gain around hips, thighs, or belly

  • Headaches or migraines related to your cycle

  • A shorter-than-normal cycle (e.g. 21–25 days)

Why This Happens

Estrogen isn’t “bad” - it just needs to be in harmony with progesterone. But modern life can tip the scales.

Estrogen imbalance can be caused by:

  • Chronic stress

  • Poor liver detox (often due to diet, alcohol, or toxins)

  • Synthetic hormones (like the pill or HRT)

  • Exposure to xenoestrogens - fake estrogens found in plastics, pesticides, personal care products, etc.

  • Lack of ovulation (common in perimenopause, PCOS, post-birth control)

  • Gut imbalances (since the gut helps clear excess estrogen)

The Good News

This isn’t about “fixing” your body, it’s about supporting your body’s natural rhythm.

Gentle, food-based practices like seed cycling, nervous system support, and syncing your nutrition and rituals with your cycle phases can help your body restore balance naturally over time — and that’s exactly what the Seed Cycle System is designed to do.
